Movie description:

The film tells the story of the unusual adventures of Zhenya Ushakov on the magic island Dvid. Gigantic birds and a mechanical octopus, a city only for adults, unexpected treachery and friendship wait for our hero on this island.

The fifth-grade pupil Zhenya Ushakov finds himself on a mysterious island called Dvid, which is not shown on any map. The people there wear numbers, they shouldn’t make noise or laugh because it annoys Mo Pho, the enormous octopus living in underground caves. Their ruler Takhomir Tikho ensures the law and order on Dvid, while the delinquents face the meeting with the enraged octopus. There is also an ancient legend about a young knight from a different world, who will free the islanders from the terrible oppressor ...
The film is based on Vladislav Krapivin’s fairy-tale «Children of the Blue Flamingo».
